Geometrical Parameters in Composite RepairDepartment of Materials Science and Mechanics, Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI 48824
Department of Materials Science and Mechanics, Michigan State University, East Lansing, MI 48824 This paper presents a systematic investigation of the geometrical effects on composite repair. Although fiber geometry, matrix property, adhesive bonding, and reinforcing patch are important parameters in composite repair, the bond line geometry is the primary concern in this study. Various bond line configurations are investigated. The experimental results can be used for optimizing the composite repair design.
